Posting review after an year. But used only twice. Both the batteries are swollen. Wouldn’t recommend 🙁

I was very skeptical to buy this charger and 2 battery combo, as I was planning to extend the runtime of my Nikon D5300.So my requirement was extra battery and a USB operated charger for my batteries.I have Nikon original and clone batteries already, so I already have a baseline for the test needed to declare this a value for money product.So every test is performed as runtime of 1080 60p video recording.Nikon original – 78 minutesNikon Clone – 37 minutesDigitek – 71 minutesSo the battery really performed well considering that nikon battery was EN EL14a (1230 mah) and digitek was EN EL14 (1030 mah).Now coming to the battery charger, first of all it comes with micro usb cable and can be charged using power bank. So very convenient if you don’t have mains power. I measured the output voltage of the charger it is exactly 8.4 volts. The charger is extremely light weight, it is even lighter than Nikon MH-24So overall it’s perfect and you can buy it without any doubt. But make sure you get a seal packed and genuine digitek battery.

Battery getting bulged even though very very less usage
While receiving I was happy to see the box it came with, it was nicely designed, from the day one itself I was facing backup problems, backup is not as mentioned, now after 2 or 3 months the battery is getting bulged even though usage is very very less, hardly I would’ve charged it twice or thrice. No warranty no support. Pls don’t buy, better to go with original brand.

Does what it says
It charges the batteries normally. The batteries are themselves extremely poor in retaining charge – shooting a 1080p video with my Nikon dslr takes 10 minutes for 1 battery (digitek) to fully discharge. Reduced 1 star for that and 1 star for build quality. Improve battery, then 4 stars.
