My wife recently had her engagement ring cleaned and there was a huge difference between how it sparkled compared to the matching wedding band. I decided to give this ultrasonic cleaner a try. The difference after cleaning her band was on par with the professionally cleaned ring. She was quite happy with the result. I could see the grime float off of it during the process.I also tried it on my fairly basic silver wedding band and didn’t really see much difference. For a final test, I cleaned my wife’s retainers. She tries to keep them pretty clean, but I thought I might see another layer of grime come off. They also looked no better afterward.My conclusion is this will help clean jewelry or items with a lot of nooks and crannies like rings with stones. For items with mostly flat surfaces, there may be little benefit. The cleaner comes with a couple plastic trays, but it’s unclear as to their purpose. Should they be used to prevent metal from touching metal?For cleaning, I used one cap full of iSonic CSGJ01 Ultrasonic Jewelry/Eye Wear Cleaning Solution Concentrate,Blue filling the bin to the max level.

Dislodges little particles from hard to reach places.Tried it on a rusty file. I wouldn’t expect much but the seller’s product description page includes a video, which includes a rusty pair of scissors. So I tried it. After 5 sessions, the file is still rusty but I was surprised how much of the loose rust was removed by this device.Tried it on a grimy watch band. Didn’t remove much, probably because there was too much oily gunk. I think it needed a steam cleaner to clean it.

DOXILA Ultrasonic CleanerI’ve never owned an ultrasonic cleaner before and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I carefully read all of the directions and this is a good idea for first time users. There are certain items that should not go into the cleaner and you don’t want to ruin something precious.As I read the directions, the product manual stated that it would only take about 3 minutes to clean the items in the tank. I thought to myself “yeah, right.” I grabbed a few rings to test and to my surprise this thing really does deliver on its promises! I did take a lot of photos and attempted to show some before and after images, but the one thing I couldn’t show you is just how much the rings sparkle after the cleaning. This machine really did a fantastic job cleaning the dirt and oils off of the gems. Prior to cleaning the rings, the gems were rather dull, but afterwards they were much clearer and sparkled. One of the rings had a stream of dirt coming off of it for the first 10 seconds. I tried to get a video of it, but I was too late.For the cleaning, I used distilled water, and this is probably a smart choice anyway. I figured I didn’t want to have contaminated water interacting with the rings. There are so many minerals and pollutants in tap water.The product comes with 2 accessories to hold your items. One looks like it is for contact lenses and the other a small table. I used the table upside-down because the rings would have stuck out of the maximum water level line. I wish there were more instructions for the accessories.Overall I really like this machine and I do recommend this product.
