Extremely poor customer service and lack of accountability!
I purchased an IFB 197L 5 Star Direct-Cool Single Door Refrigerator on 7th August 2024, which was delivered on 10th August. The installation took place on 20th August, and immediately, I noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling at all.I registered a complaint both through the IFB Toll-Free Number and the MyIFB App. On 1st September, a service executive called and informed me that since it’s a home appliance (not kitchen-specific), I had to cancel the service request by providing an OTP. I found this quite unprofessional and strange.On 5th September, I received a call from the IFB Service Center in Palakkad, assuring me that a technician would visit the next day. I took a day off from work for the appointment, but no one showed up. This happened twice before, on 8th or 9th September, a technician finally visited. He examined the refrigerator and informed me that oil had mixed with the compressor, making it irreparable. He advised that the unit should be replaced since it was practically unused.I visited the IFB Service Center to request a replacement, and they promised it would arrive within a week. After two weeks of waiting, I called them, only to be met with vague responses. Finally, on 27th September, they informed me that the product was out of stock. They gave me an option to either wait or pay ₹550 extra for the same model in a different color, which was already in stock and would be delivered within 3 days.It’s now 4th October, and I still haven’t received any refrigerator or response. The service has been pathetic and very disappointing. I expected much more from IFB, but this experience has left me incredibly frustrated and regretful of my purchase.I would not recommend IFB to anyone based on this ordeal. Extremely poor customer service and lack of accountability!
